This is an opportunity for the community to give input on the proposed 2026-2027 school year calendar.
This calendar takes into consideration the following:
1. This calendar survey includes 4 different calendars to provide input on. Calendars A and B follow Kodiak’s traditional model. Calendar C includes more Monday’s off and these align with some state and federal holidays. Calendar D is the most dramatic change in practice, but has been offered as a potential option to improve attendance.
2. Contract agreements between employee groups and KIBSD:
- number of workdays
- length of contract
- holidays
- time for family conferences
3. State statue for the number of student instructional days and professional development days required/allowed.
