The Director of Secondary Instruction and Learning, Katrina Stewart, is an alumnus of Kodiak High School and always dreamed about coming back to her hometown to teach. For most of her educational career, she served as a teacher in the KHS English department. Prior to her current role, she also taught the Introduction to Education class at KHS and served as an instructional coach at Kodiak High School and Kodiak Middle School. Stewart graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary English education and math education, later completing a Master of Arts degree in Quality Schools from Graceland University and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. She currently holds Alaska certifications for teaching English and math (6-12) and for administration (K-12).
