7th GRADE MATH STUDY HALL
Mrs. Hallam is offering Math Study Hall to 7th grade students every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch recess. Meet in room 212.
There is no school for students on October 14 and 15. This time allows for teachers and staff to benefit from professional development opportunites and other trainings.
Please join us for our Parent-Teacher Conferences this upcoming October 23 and 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet with teachers and get feedback on how your child is doing in school.
NOTE FROM THE NURSE
The cold and flu season is upon us. I want to share reminders with you regarding the flu.
If your child has a fever, (100.4F or higher) please do not send them back to school until he/she has been fever free (without the use of fever-reducing medication) for at least 24 hours. This is very important in controlling the spread of flu and flu-like viral illnesses.
Please discuss the importance of good hand-washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and other hygiene issues related to the spread of germs with your child.
Note that the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommends that all children over 6 months receive a flu vaccine. Contact your pediatrician for more information.
If you have any questions, especially regarding whether or not to send your child to school when he/she is ill, don’t hesitate to contact me.
