Congratulations HOSA Members!

 

 

HOSA members pose after a successful state competition.

 

Kodiak High School HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) members excelled at this year’s Alaska State Leadership Conference in Anchorage. HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and Health Science Education (HSE) that promotes career opportunities in the health care industry and aims to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

 

The following students earned first place gold medals: Roxanna Castellon for Job Seeking Skills; and Madelyn Christiansen, Amber Francisco, Bella Goble, and Max Pyles for the Creative Problem-Solving team event.

 

A second place silver medal was awarded to Heidi Alonzo for Medical Spelling. A third place bronze medal for Extemporaneous Health Poster went to Leigh Bruno.

 

Other members representing KHS at the conference were Nikkie Buslon, Jessica Suyat, and Sayuri Seto.
