The school year got off to a running start in September, and it seems incredible that we’re turning the corner to November already! It’s a season to give thanks. I want to express how thankful I am for the incredible support our community has shown our school - and families in need. It is such a privilege to be part of this community.

Red Ribbon Week

This week, we celebrate healthy choices! Plus, Spirit Week!  Mr. Foreman will teach counseling lessons focused on healthy choices and lifestyles

Impact Aid Surveys

Impact Aid surveys for 2019 were sent home today, one for each child at North Star. Please be sure to fill out this important form -it affects how much funding our district receives from the federal government. If you have questions or need help with the survey, give us a call at 481-2000.

Proceeds will support our 5th grade classes for their Outdoor Adventure Learning on Woody Island in May.

Halloween Parade

Please join us on October 31 for North Star’s Halloween parade! It starts at 1:15 pm.  Kids may wear costumes to school.  Costumes must be kindergarten-friendly, no weapons, blood and gore. Thanks!  Check in with your child’s teacher to find out how you can support the classroom party.

 


Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students)

Donuts for Dads Wednesday, November 6, 7:30-8:15 am. ‘Dads,’ drop off your student at school and enjoy coffee and donuts together in the Commons!

 


Thanksgiving Feast Friday, November 22

One of North Star’s most cherished traditions is coming up in just over 3 weeks! This is a huge community event for our school, and it requires a lot of planning and coordination of jobs.  There will be a sign up sheet in the office if you can help. Thank you!
