Open House

Please join us on Thursday evening, September 26th, from 5:30-7:00 Navigating to our goals is the general theme of this year’s Open House. With wings, we can fly, soar, reach for our goals. Teachers in every classroom have read books about this, and discussed those important messages with their students. Students in every classroom have written a personal goal on a feather, which they then colored. These colorful feathers were assembled into two giant wings, mounted on the garage door in the Commons. When you come for Open House:

Look for your child’s feather - in the wings

Locate his or her picture around the school

Find the books and their messages

Write a family goal and decorate a feather

Come any time between 5:30 and 7:00!

Based on Kelsey Montague’s “What Lifts You” movement

Start of the School Day!

7:35 AM, supervision begins on the playground (enter from the sidewalk) or the gym (if it’s raining hard). Students are expected to go to the playground unless they are having breakfast.

7:40 AM, Ms. Megan starts breakfast service.

7:50 AM, a gong sounds over the intercom. This is the signal for the teachers to pick up their students from the playground. At this time, students may walk to their classrooms, and wait outside the door for their teacher.

8:00 am, another gong sounds over the intercom.  This is the official start of school.  Children who arrive after the gong, stop by the office to let us know so we can make the attendance adjustments.

Please try to be on time for school.  The children who are often tardy miss a lot of chances to connect with adults and kids.

Spirit Wear

Every Friday, show your Navigator spirit by wearing Navigator gear! (Check in the office for available times to purchase spirit wear. We are working on a schedule to simplify the process)
