For the past two weeks, KMS students have been working to complete the MAP Assessment in Language Arts and Math classes. MAP is a benchmark assessment given two times during the 2019-2020 year. The purpose of the assessment is to provide a way for teachers to compare multiple sets of data to help inform classroom instruction. There are three parts; Math, Reading, and Language. MAP is not a “high-stakes” test and does not affect a student’s grade in any way. Some teachers may or may not discuss student MAP results in conjunction with other assessments and student artifacts as it pertains to student progress and development during Parent-Teacher Conferences.
