Message from Principal Hecht

Hello Kodiak High School Families,

Today is October 8, 2020; Kodiak High School students have been in school for one month today.  Isn’t that a great statement to make!!!

This past month we have seen many changes from last year to include; wearing a mask, social distancing, breakfast given at the end of the day, different classes, and so many other changes.

Being in school for one month in a face to face learning environment is something to celebrate as a school and as a family.  Many of our teachers have commented how students have been working hard in class and how much of a joy it has been to be back in the classroom.

Please continue to encourage your student to wear a mask, social distance, communicate with their teachers, and ask questions if they have concerns.

I hope to be able to write a very similar message to you on November 8th, to celebrate our two months of being in the building.  It will take all of us working together to keep Kodiak High School open and the community safe.

Thank you for supporting KHS during this month and your continuing support through the coming year.

Neil Hecht

Principal, Kodiak High School
