Watching the life cycle of a moth.

After learning about the life cycle of butterflies in the classroom, second-grader Taylor Amodo and Kindergartener Kaliyah Amodo of Akhiok were fortunate to see the process for themselves.  While playing outside one evening, they found a caterpillar.  They carefully collected it, placed it in a jar, and began to monitor it for any signs of changing.  After a short time it formed its chrysalis, then after a few more days, a moth emerged.  They were thrilled they were able to apply what they had learned in school to their everyday lives.
