The Kodiak High School Track and Field Team is hosting the Second Annual Kodiak All-Comers Track and Field Challenge this Saturday, April 29, beginning at 9AM at the Joe Floyd Track and Field at Baranof Park.
Who are the Island All-Comers? Well, they are anybody who can run, jump or throw and wants to give it a go against the KHS Bears. All events are open to both male and female participants of any age, and anyone in the meet that is not a part of the KHS track and field team will be considered part of the Island All-Comers team.
The meet will begin with the open pit and field events, which includes the long jump, shot put and discus. Contestants should be ready for competition by 9AM.
The running events will begin at 10:30 AM, and are scheduled in this order:
- 100m/110m hurdles
- Kids 40-yard dash
- 4x100m relay
- 300m hurdles
- 4x400m relay
The event will be scored as a dual meet, meaning points will be awarded as follows 5 for first place, 3 for second place and 1 for third place.
