Juniors and Seniors,<\/b><\/span>\u00a0the registration deadline for the first SAT of the year is September 20th. The test is offered on October 5th. Please see the college board website, or Mr. Fox\/Ms. Wagner if you have any questions. If you believe you qualify for a fee waiver, the counseling office can help you with that. Fee waivers are based on lunch status, so please apply for free\/reduced lunch if you have not already.<\/span><\/p>\n

PSAT Tuesday October 29th<\/b><\/span>\u00a0The PSAT will be given on Tuesday October 29th. The PSAT is a practice SAT test and is strongly recommended for all sophomores and juniors to take. Test registration for the PSAT is now open in the counseling office. The test costs $20 payable by cash or check. Fee waivers are available for juniors ONLY who are eligible for free\/reduced lunch. There are a limited number of seats available. Please see your school counselor with questions. Registration closes on Friday September 29th.<\/span><\/p>\n

United States Air Force This Wednesday\u00a0<\/b><\/span>A representative from the United States Air Force will be at KHS this Wednesday September 18th during lunch with an informational table. Students who are interested in potential opportunities with the Air Force are encouraged to stop by their table with questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attention students, Homecoming is this weekend!\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Thursday Sept. 19,<\/strong>\u00a07:30-9:00pm- Tail Gate gathering outside the main doors of the school.\u00a0Friday Sept. 20, 6:00pm<\/strong>– Cheer on the Bears at Baranoff Field for the football game.\u00a0Saturday Sept. 21<\/strong>\u00a07:00-10:00pm- Homecoming Dance at Main Elementary. Dance entry is $15\/ person, $25\/ couple. The most creative, original HoCo-Proposal will win free entry into the dance!<\/span><\/p>\n

Hey KHS did you know that there is a pre-school on our campus?\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Please use caution when driving in all KHS parking lots, but we will have little people in the far parking lot (toward Upper Mill Bay) Tuesday through Friday 8:45-11:15 and 12:45-3:15. Be careful, drive slowly, and keep an eye out for these pre-schoolers and their families.<\/span><\/p>\n

Picture Day is coming!<\/b><\/span>\u00a0School photos will be taken on Monday Sept. 23, please order your packages on line – or bring your order sheet and payment to the photographer on Monday September 23 . You will have your photo taken during your English Class, if you do NOT have an on-campus english class, please check with the office for your assigned photo time.<\/span><\/p>\n

YEARBOOK NOW ON SALE!<\/b><\/span>\u00a0Now is the time to purchase the 24-25 yearbook. Mr. Bennett has extended the special Open House price of $65 for the rest of the week. This is the cheapest the yearbook will be for the rest of the year. Yearbook staff will be by the Cascading Stairs at lunchtime, Wednesday and Thursday to help you with your purchase. Cash, check or card will be accepted. Don’t miss out!<\/span><\/p>\n

Your lunch status\u00a0<\/b><\/span>is in a 20 day grace period. You will be charged the same amount as you were last spring. Please apply for Free or Reduced lunch before October 1. Full price for Lunch is now $4.00. See Ms. Amy in the office or Ms.Horn in the Counseling Office for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attention students!\u00a0<\/b><\/span>A reminder that the Homecoming Dance is this weekend. To attend, you must have no detentions and be present in ALL of your classes on Friday. Remember, any unexcused absence will result in a detention, so it’s your responsibility to check PowerSchool and make sure your attendance is accurate. Let’s finish the week strong and enjoy the dance!<\/span><\/p>\n
