US Coast Guard Academy Representative<\/b><\/span>\u00a0A representative from the United States Coast Guard Academy school will be at Kodiak High School on Thursday September 12th during lunch with an informational table. Lt. Mari Eves will also be able to schedule individual appointments with students and families when she is in Kodiak. All students interested in opportunities at the Coast Guard Academy are encouraged to take advantage of this visit. This is the first time in over 4 years that the Academy is sending a representative to Kodiak.<\/span><\/p>\n

Add\/Drop Window closes Friday September 13th<\/b><\/span>\u00a0Students, this is a reminder that the add\/drop window for classes ends at the end of the school day on Friday. All schedule changes need to be initiated by the end of the day on Friday September 13th. After the add\/drop window closes, you will be given a Withdraw grade on your permanent academic transcript.<\/span><\/p>\n

Volleyball at home this weekend!<\/b><\/span>\u00a0Friday Sept. 13th- Volleyball VS Wasilla- 4, 5:30, 7pm (C-team, JV, Varsity)* SENIOR NIGHT; Saturday Sept. 14th- Volleyball VS Wasilla- 3, 4:30, 6pm (C-team, JV, Varsity)<\/span><\/p>\n

Avoid Mill Bay road this week!<\/b><\/span>\u00a0Construction is scheduled on Mill Bay Road for the next week; there is a pilot car and you will have to wait. Use alternate routes so you are not late<\/span><\/p>\n

Juniors and Seniors,<\/b><\/span>\u00a0the registration deadline for the first SAT of the year is September 20th. The test is offered on October 5th. Please see the college board website, or Mr. Fox\/Ms. Wagner if you have any questions. If you believe you qualify for a fee waiver, the counseling office can help you with that. Fee waivers are based on lunch status, so please apply for free\/reduced lunch if you have not already.<\/span><\/p>\n

Open House<\/b><\/span>\u00a0KHS open house is Sept 12 from 4:30-6 pm. Families are encouraged to come meet our teachers and Admin Team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your lunch status\u00a0<\/b><\/span>is in a 20 day grace period. You will be charged the same amount as you were last spring. Please apply for Free or Reduced lunch before October 1. Full price for Lunch is now $4.00. See Ms. Amy in the office or Ms.Horn in the Counseling Office for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n
