PSAT Registration Now Open<\/b><\/span> KHS is administering the PSAT test one time this school year on Tuesday October 27th. The PSAT is a practice version of the SAT test. Sign up in the counseling office. THere will be a test fee of $20. There are fee waivers available for 11th grade students who are eligible for Free\/Reduced Lunch. Please see your counselor with questions. Study opportunities are available through CollegeBoard or the Khan Academy online. THe deadline to register is October 9th.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students, Don’t forget to fill out the RSVP survey in your email from Stokely.<\/b><\/span> Let student council know what you like about KHS, and what we can improve.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attention Students!<\/b><\/span> Class officer elections are open! Come grab a nomination form from Mrs. Glenn in room 225. Forms are due September 30, speeches will be at class meetings October 7th. Get involved! Be a leader! Make memories! Have fun!<\/span><\/p>\n

ASVAB Test November 17th<\/b><\/span> The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Test) will be given at KHS one time this fall on Tuesday November 17th at 8:45am. This test can be used for entrance into branches of the military, and also gives students specific insights into career specific strengths. Juniors and seniors who are interested in career opportunities with the military branches are strongly encouraged to take this test. See your school counselor to sign up for this free test and for suggestions on how to study for the test.<\/span><\/p>\n

KHS Swim and Dive will be hosting <\/b><\/span>the 2nd Annual ALL COMERS FAST FRIDAY SPRINT MEET this Friday October 2! Come sign up using the QR code on the flyer in Mrs. Glenn’s window. Warm ups start at 5:00, racing starts at 6:00. Come cheer on the little kids, your high school friends, community members, and the Coast Guard swimmers! Rumor has it there may be a coaches’ relay too!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Thread Bear store,<\/b><\/span> will be opening today (Tuesday) and Thursday during lunch! We are excited to have you stop by and see what we have. Thank you for the support!<\/span><\/p>\n

The regular wrestling season<\/b><\/span> begins today, practices will be in the mat room from 4-6 Monday through Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bears Awards<\/b><\/span> Starting this Friday if a Bears award isn’t picked up, unclaimed awards will be put back in the pot! This means, your award could be $10, $15 or even $20!!!!! Make sure to remember to pick up your bears award by Friday of the week you win!<\/span><\/p>\n

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation or Orange Shirt Day<\/b><\/span> , this day honors residential school survivors, families and those who did not return home. People wear orange to symbolize “every child matters”. Feel free to stop by to visit the Camai Club table today during lunch<\/span><\/p>\n
