Student Allotments for 2017-2018 School Year
Fall full-time enrollment allotments are as follows:
Kindergarten - 3rd $2000
4th - 8th Grades $2400
9th - 12th Grades $2600
Access to an allotment account for students enrolling after October 1st will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the AKTEACH Teacher and Director.
Unspent funding from your student’s allotment, in a given year, will be carried over to the following school year as long as your student remains in our program up to a maximum of $6,000 per student account.
Allotments can be used to cover textbooks, curriculum materials, school supplies, tutoring services, athletic equipment, and technology expenses as approved by the certificated teacher who has the primary responsibility for the course. Funding for other materials or services requires the approval of the program director or program director’s designee, and the valid instructional purpose served by the expenditure must be noted in the student’s ILP.
If your child would like to enroll in an AKTEACH course and they reside out of district or wish to attend a KIBSD school district course (KHS, KMS, Elementary) and reside in District, a $150 per semester, per class fee will be accessed from the allotment which can be paid from an existing allotment.
If you find curriculum or activities that you would like to include in the ILP and are uncertain if the curricula or activity would be covered by your allotment, please contact an AKTEACH staff member for approval.
