BEARS BASKETBALL BASH December 29-30, 2022

We are all disappointed that weather canceled the Joe Floyd tournament this year. In lieu of the tournament, we present the BEARS BASKETBALL BASH.

THURSDAY, December 29^th, 2022

5:30 PM- Kodiak Grizzlies Basketball Club Intrasquad Game

Halftime festivities include a KMS/KHS Cheerleaders performance and a knock out tournament

7:30 PM– Kodiak High School Girls Basketball team vs. the Alumni

• Halftime festivities include a performance by Next Step Dance Studio Kodiak
• A shooting competition sponsored by Kodiak College will also be held. Any KMS or KHS student is eligible to sign up. One person will be randomly drawn. If the person makes a layup, free throw, three pointer, and half court shot in 30 seconds (1 rebounder/passer provided), they will win a $50 gift certificate to the Kodiak College Bookstore.
• Winner of the KHS Activities Raffle for the 2 roundtrip tickets to anywhere Alaska Airlines flies will be drawn.

FRIDAY, December 30th, 2022

5:00 PM– Kodiak Grizzlies Basketball Club JV Team vs. Kodiak High School Girl’s JV Team

• Halftime festivities include a KMS/KHS Cheerleaders performance and a 5^th/6^th grade girls Little Dribblers scrimmage

6:30 PM– KHS Boys Varsity Intersqaud Game

• Halftime festivities include a performance by the Kodiak High School Dance Team.
• A shooting competition sponsored by Kodiak College will also be held. Any KMS or KHS student is eligible to sign up. One person will be randomly drawn. If the person makes a layup, free throw, three pointer, and half court shot in 30 seconds (1 rebounder/passer provided), they will win a $50 gift certificate to the Kodiak College Bookstore.

We hope to see you for all of the games.

• KVOK and Island Espresso will be co-sponsoring Player of the Game awards for each game.
• A 50/50 Raffle will be held both nights with the winners being announced at the end of the third quarter of the 7:30 games.
• The Bears Den will be open for food throughout the Bears Basketball Bash
• Vintage Kodiak Gear will be sold for $5 a shirt
• Dress in holiday cheer.
  • The two people with the most Christmasy attire will get to sit on the couches with a friend on Thursday night.
  • On Friday night, the two people with the most New Yearsy attire will get to sit on the couches with a friend.
  • If you would like to participate in the holiday cheer, report to the end of the court by the couches five minutes before tip off for each game when they announce to do so.
