The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training Program, in partnership with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will be hosting Arctic Care 2022 in Kodiak, on May 4-13, 2022, with providers traveling to the village communities May 3-13, 2022. This two-week event presents a unique opportunity for community members to receive medical, dental, optometry, and veterinary services at no cost. Physical therapy and podiatry specialty services are available in the City of Kodiak by Arctic Care medical provider referral only. For information about the variety of services available to the public through this event, or to schedule an appointment, please see the attached flyers.
The District will be offering the use of the gym and cafeteria facilities at the high school again this year, as well as the auxiliary gym space, for active duty members who compose the Arctic Care 2022 team. These facilities will be utilized by the team for dining and sleep areas for the duration of the event. Please be assured that members of the Arctic Care 2022 team will be fully separated from our students, and that arrangements have been made to coordinate facility use in a manner which supports this separation.
KIBSD is proud to offer its support to the Arctic Care 2022 program. As always, please feel free to contact the Central Office with any questions you may have.
