COVID-19 Case Update

The Kodiak Emergency Operations Center has received new COVID-19 case information for the Kodiak Island Borough.

Thirty-six (36) new cases have been reported for the Kodiak Island Borough since the last announcement on February 14, 2022:

  • One (1) case was tested on 2/9/22
  • Fifteen (15) cases were tested on 2/11/22
  • Three (3) cases were tested on 2/12/22
  • Twelve (12) cases were tested on 2/14/22
  • Five (5) cases were tested on 2/15/22

These cases are classified as community spread.

The total case count associated with the Kodiak Island Borough is now four thousand seven hundred and eighty-three (4783) with one hundred and forty-three (143) cases currently classified as active. There have been one hundred and seventeen (117) local hospitalizations associated with COVID-19, and there are no active cases currently hospitalized in Kodiak.

Eleven (11) deaths associated with COVID-19 have been reported for the Kodiak Island Borough.

COVID-19 is a highly contagious virus. Please take appropriate precautions to keep yourself healthy and to prevent further spread of the virus in our community.
