Grade<\/strong><\/td>\n| \n | Full-Time<\/strong><\/p>\n (100% Allotment)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n Half-Time<\/strong><\/p>\n (50% Allotment)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n <\/p>\n Access to an allotment account for students enrolling after September 25th will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the AKTEACH Teacher and Administrator.<\/p>\n Allotments can be used to cover\u00a0academic materials and experiences\u00a0that relate directly to the student\u2019s ILP, as approved by the certificated teacher who has the primary responsibility for the course.\u00a0\u00a0(Please contact an AKTEACH staff member for approval to purchase any item over $300)<\/strong><\/p>\n Examples of what allotments may be used for include:<\/p>\n Curriculum Packages:<\/strong> Calvert, Book Shark, Timberdoodle, Sonlight & other approved vendors<\/p>\n Books:<\/strong> Textbooks, novels, workbooks, dictionary, thesaurus, poetry, audio or e-books, etc.<\/p>\n General Homeschooling Supplies:<\/strong>\u00a0Paper, writing supplies, whiteboards, notebooks, etc.<\/p>\n Art Supplies:<\/strong>\u00a0Brushes, various paint\/drawing media, canvas, sketchbook, etc.<\/p>\n Social Studies Materials:<\/strong>\u00a0Maps, globes, atlases, etc.<\/p>\n Science Supplies:<\/strong>\u00a0Microscopes and slides, dissection materials, experiment kits, etc.<\/p>\n Math Manipulatives:<\/strong>\u00a0Pattern blocks, base ten materials, counters, clocks, flashcards, etc.<\/p>\n Software:<\/strong>\u00a0Digital downloads, typing software, apps, etc.<\/p>\n Magazine Subscriptions:<\/strong>\u00a0Highlights, Ranger Rick, National Geo Kids, etc.<\/p>\n Online Subscription-Based Programs:<\/strong>\u00a0Keyboarding without Tears, Spelling City, IXL, etc.<\/p>\n Subscription Boxes:<\/strong>\u00a0Kiwi Crate, Raddish Kids, Groovy Lab in a Box, Little Passports, etc.<\/p>\n Educational Toys\/Brain Games:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Chess, Osmo, Lego Educational Kits, Dash & Dot Robots<\/p>\n Physical Education:<\/strong>\u00a0Next Step Dance Studio, King Fishers, gym memberships, horseback \u00a0riding, etc. (Must be an approved vendor before reimbursement can be given.)<\/p>\n Field Trips:<\/strong>\u00a0Museums, theater presentations, musical performances, aquarium or zoo visits, etc.<\/p>\n Tutoring Services:<\/strong>Tutoring for academic subjects \u2013 must be an approved vendor.<\/p>\n Internet:<\/strong>\u00a0Monthly services fees for internet service.<\/p>\n College Courses:<\/strong>\u00a0Kodiak College and other approved, accredited universities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Allotment Rollover<\/strong><\/p>\n At the end of a school year, money left in the allotment may roll over to the next school year.<\/p>\n As of July 1, 2019, a maximum of $1000 of remaining allotment in a year may be rolled over to the next school year.
