The KIC Project’s main focus is promoting college and career readiness. With this goal in mind, we would like to provide college visits and job exploration in larger cities outside of the Kodiak District to help students expand their horizons and remind them that no dream is too far out of reach!
KHS Drama Club “ShakesBears”, coached by Jared Griffin, made quite the statement at a regional Drama, Debate, and Forensics (DDF) tournament in Homer, winning first and second place in multiple events, and outperforming other regional schools in drama categories: Homer, Seward, and Nikiski.
Kodiak High School Choir students performed seven advanced-level choral pieces with the 2018 Alaska All-State Choirs, conducted by Dr. Brad Oleson and Dr. Andrea Ramsey.
Members of the Coast Guard Partners in Education program (PIE) volunteered their time and painting skills to brighten up Peterson Elementary Schools' cafeteria and gymnasium with a fresh coat paint. Thank you all so much, it turned out great!
