  • KHS students ‘The Addams Family’ musical

    They were creepy, cooky, mysterious, spooky and all-together ooky. Last weekend, KHS students took the stage at the Gerald C. Wilson auditorium last weekend transforming themselves into one of television’s most-beloved and interesting families to perform “The Addams Family” musical.

  • Decision ’17: College guidance for KHS students

    As the universal college acceptance date — May 1 — looms, some 35 Kodiak High School students will head to Kodiak College on April 19 for a day filled with information, tours and guidance to help them make some very important educational decisions.

  • AKTEACH: KIBSD’s link to the Kodiak Area Marine Science Symposium

    This week, scientists and those interested in scientific work being done on and in the waters around Kodiak Island will gather at the Kodiak Area Marine Science Symposium, or KAMSS. Students throughout the Kodiak Island Borough School District will have a front row seat thanks to AKTEACH.

  • Tell your story at the 2017 Summer Film Intensive

    “The ability to see our lives as stories and share those stories with others is at the core of what it means to be human.” (John Capecci and Timothy Cage in Living Proof: Telling Your Story to Make a Difference) This is the philosophy at the heart of the Summer Film Intensive program, a two-week summer filmmaking class open to Kodiak middle and high school students and hosted by the Baranov Museum, Kodiak Island Borough School District and AKTEACH.
