Are you looking for a new job or career? Do you need a new direction? Do you need to pass the GED or get a high school diploma to get there or are in need of credit recovery?
Whether you’ve recently left school or haven’t thought about school in a while, the Learning Café and Kodiak Career Center will help you plan your next school or career move. Located at 115 Upper Mill Bay Road, Ste. 101, the Learning Café offers young adults between the ages of 14 and 24 a “one-stop shop” for education and employment assistance.
We can help you:
· identify your skills and career interests (Career Ready 101 or AKCIS)
· create a training plan
· find training and education services
* locate school-to-apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeships & apprenticeship programs
* learn about work, training opportunities and helpful web sites
* access Alaska's largest online job bank
* write a resume and apply for jobs
* learn interviewing and job skills training
· find credit recovery through the Key Train curriculum
· consider placement as a student intern in a job of your interest
Our staff members are available Monday – Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Fridays 8:00am to 2:00pm. We will work with you and our friends at the Learning Center, Job Service, and others to help you achieve your goals.
