Recent News Articles for Kodiak High School
There have been several bear sightings in town near the areas of Hillside Drive and Selief Drive. KIBSD is working with Fish and Game to monitor student safety. Students who walk to school, or wait at bus stops, are encouraged to use caution and to be bear aware. All residents are asked to manage garbage and other items that may attract the bear.
If you spot a bear please call Fish and Game, the State Troopers, or the Kodiak Police Department.
