Take a moment today to extend your thanks and appreciation to your child's school nurse for National School Nurse Day.  National School Nurse Day was established in 1972 to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting.  National School Nurse Day (that would be today) falls on Wednesday during National Nurses Week, ending on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing.  For more information visit the NASN website at www.nasn.org.
